14:05	Felan	yeah I dunno.  Dream was silly and there was a "representative" from the anti lich-king demon army and had a potion.  
14:05	Felan	Kath was tired of the voices and I guess wanted revenge on the crusaders because something happened between her and them 
14:06	Felan	So she takes it and changes and stuff
14:07	Felan	and then I woke up
14:07	Felan	and the first thing I was thinking was "Well, id have to redesign her whole armour now."
14:07	Felan	then I realized it was a dream

14:19	KuroMa	(Isn't she already on route to complete the staff though? :V)
14:19	KuroMa	(Also, this would be a good time for me to tell you about Prethrien I guess)
14:19	Felan	much to her dismay though.  Shes just going along with it it more to "get it over with."  She has little care for tinu 
14:20	Felan	If anything, shes in the current mindset that tinu should be destroyed entirely because of all the insanity the staff brings around people across the ages
14:22	KuroMa	I wanted to discuss this with you before adding it to the wiki so,
14:22	KuroMa	Now is the time! (Even though I'll be leaving in a bit :V)

14:22	KuroMa	The Three, some of the oldest beings in the Dragon Empire...
14:22	KuroMa	Were actually The Five.
14:23	KuroMa	The Red is a vicious fighter who rules over the desert called The Red Wastes (Lotice, the campaign's starting point, is one of the last human settlement before the Red's desert, the other is Oriel's Citadel)
14:23	KuroMa	The Blue is a mighty sorceress who eventually built an entire city around her Tower of magic, Drakkenhall (we're there right now :V)
14:24	KuroMa	The Black is the master of treachery and his domain is everywhere and nowhere in the Dragon Empire
14:24	KuroMa	But there were also The White and The Green
14:25	KuroMa	After the Elder Gods abandoned the Dragon Empire, magic started disappearing and the dragons were among the few (original) magic users left
14:26	KuroMa	So one day, right in the middle of a strike from The Five against the Lich King, the Elf Queen set up an ambush and captured The Green, which resulted in The White dying... and falling into the Lich King's hands to become subject of his experiments in necromancy
14:26	KuroMa	And The Five's power shrinking to the degree they were no longer able to fight the Lich King anymore
14:26	KuroMa	The Elf Queen found a variety of uses for the power she sapped from The Green and among those was forging an infamous staff
14:27	KuroMa	The Green lent her power to the staff but cursed it. As long as it was intact, it would give its wielder tremendous power and also a horrible fate; plus, the Dragon Empire would fall into a standstill where there's always 13 icons and the Lich King is one of them
14:28	KuroMa	As a result whenever an icon is overthrown or whenever someone is TOO close to overthrowing the Lich King, something goes horribly wrong and "balance" is restored
14:29	KuroMa	(So yes, Kath is right, the staff DOES bring insanity accross the ages. It's cursed. :V)
14:29	KuroMa	Tinu's not ALWAYS the one who makes things go wrong, though, sometimes she's just at the wrong time and wrong place
14:29	Felan	Heh as an aside, my theory on moon is that hes part of the whole balance thing.  Its just a guess though.  But I think Moon is way older than an age or two.  Kath is also suspicious but thinks Moon is maybe an age old.

14:30	KuroMa	Moon has a plan to destroy the balance :V

14:30	KuroMa	BUT FIRST!
14:30	KuroMa	Let me tell you about one such tale involving Tinu :V
14:31	KuroMa	There was once a Diabolist who had great ambition:
14:31	KuroMa	To rule not only over Hell but also over the Lich King's domain
14:31	KuroMa	And her plan involved overthrowing every other icon
14:32	KuroMa	She managed to take over First Triumph, Axis and Horizon (the Crusader, Emperor and Archmage's cities)...
14:32	KuroMa	...with the aid of the Lich King, whom she planned to overthrow LAST. ;V
14:32	KuroMa	And in order to do so,
14:32	Felan	Heh, no wonder the Crusaders were so guarded against Kath
14:32	KuroMa	The FIRST thing she did was to seize Tinulothel and hide it so no one would try to restore balance
14:33	KuroMa	But it didn't go well
14:33	KuroMa	She fell in love for a noble from the Elf Queen's court and had a half-elf, half-demon daughter, Prethrien (her name, in elvish bullshit, means "Daughter of the Disruptor")
14:34	KuroMa	It didn't take long for the entire eastern portion of the Dragon Empire (Drakkenhall, Santa Cora, Queen's Court) to turn against the Diabolist
14:35	KuroMa	Even worse, the Lich King actually aided the other icons and, as he usually does, he roused the demons to try to overthrow the Diabolist and seize her title in the ensuing confusion
14:35	KuroMa	So the Diabolist was alone, ambushed by her own army of greedy demons, and under assault from every other icon, all in order to restore "the balance" :V
14:35	KuroMa	("The balance" once again meaning the icons are so busy fighting each other they can't afford to unite against the Lich King and he rules for another age)
14:36	KuroMa	Enraged, the Diabolist cursed the Dragon Empire (it's a huge pile of curses by the 13th Age)
14:36	KuroMa	She would die, but her bloodline would live to:
14:36	KuroMa	1. Kill all demons her descendants encountered, not sparing a single one
14:36	KuroMa	2. Wield Tinulothel
14:37	KuroMa	3. Destroy the Lich King
14:37	KuroMa	The day the Diabolist died, Prethrien took Tinu and went on a bloody rampage before escaping :V
14:39	KuroMa	What happened afterwards is a mystery but 5 ages later Kath shows up in First Triumph, a strange voice telling her to kill all demons, though the voice itself is demonic
14:39	KuroMa	But all of that is one of the many wiki-tales and not necessarily canon :V (How do you like it?)
14:39	Felan	oh my.  So Kath is unknowingly following her ancestors path!
14:40	KuroMa	Maybe so, if that tale is true! :V
14:40	Felan	So now the voice has changed and is now trying to tell Kath to pick up her ancestral demon blood to fight against the undead! 
14:41	KuroMa	Maybe after 5 ages, the voice's been drowned a bit?
14:41	Felan	Well I think that what was happening in one of the earlier RP sessions.
14:41	KuroMa	So out of all those things the Diabolist told Prethrien, Kath only hears "KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL" and has no idea what it means since the full story's been lost
14:42	KuroMa	And there's no one around to have passed down the story from the Diabolist's point of view (everyone else would have seen her as just another power-hungry demon and not someone who had plans to destroy the Lich King),
14:42	KuroMa	Except for someone who could have BEEN there, witnessed the whole thing, and lived long enough to tell Kath about her past
14:43	KuroMa	Oh yeah
14:44	KuroMa	Except that one person is amnesiac right now and prone to randomly causing disco fever on other peoppe :V

14:44	Felan	So, with this ooc knowldege, should I keep the "Diabloist Anti-Lich" positive relationship roll?

14:44	KuroMa	That story can pretty much be summed up in "Positive Diabolist Anti-Lich"
14:45	KuroMa	In fact that story was made backwards from "Positive Diabolist Anti-Lich" :V (My own proposal on how that icon point works)

14:47	KuroMa	What if the Crusader repeatedly focusing on fighting demons but leaving the Lich King alone actually unwittingly helps the Lich King's cause
14:48	Felan	Well, id say that the crusaders are mostly anti-demon.  Given by the book, if they have no demons to beat up, they go and pillage and plunder and other evil things otherwise
14:48	Felan	so id say that undead are just something to deal with if they get in the way for the most part
14:49	KuroMa	The undead try to stay away from public view though
14:49	KuroMa	Except for Agarwaenor who is seen by other liches as an idiot (there's more to him, of course)
14:49	KuroMa	And the odd Horizon-affiliated "lich" (like Mecha Alex)

14:51	Felan	id imagine the crusaders on the crusades run into undead here and there.  But I would think that it would be kill them and move on kind of mentality.  Not so much on "oh, lich-king minions we gotta destroy them!" and more "eh, skeleton blocking my way, *thud hammer in skely face*"
